I'm getting almost movie theater quality sound. My children are now telling me to turn my computer down. I have never had more than the generic computer speakers. I've never had a subwoofer before. LOLIf you watch tv and movies on your computer, you need a subwoofer.
NOT a Satisfied customer. The volume suddenly would increase then decrease. Sounds great. To fix momentarily, must unplug from wall and repetitively rotate the knob back and forth. so I've owned them for a year or so.
The problem reoccurs every few days. so I thought. BUT, they have been in the box in storage, never used until 1 month ago. I purchased these speakers from Circuit City before they went under. I opened the box and hooked it up correctly.
I found the volume control is defective.
Compared to some others they may not produce the same amount of base or loudness but for their compact size and price I find them an amazing buy. I have had the original release of these speakers for over three years and I have never had a single problem. I love blasting music and these allow me to do just that with minimal sound irritation in high volume.
They become to tinny and distort the highs. These were great at low volumes, but when you need more the tweeters couldn't handle it. I put them back in the box after two days and hooked up my 8 year old speakers that came with my old computer (much cheaper than these) and they work much better. these are pretty speakers, easy to hook up, but they just can't handle a lot of volume. I like to listen to music from itunes and Pandora and work around the house so I need speakers that can handle the volume it takes for that. The subwoofer was okay, but it too couldn't handle loud bass notes.
along with those and this recent product, i have never been unsatisfied with creative labs. was worth the 80 dollars. i've bought many items from creative labs in the past. great sound quality, good loud bass.
